Invitation to a yoga and mindfulness retreat — Spain, August 2019

Dear yoga friends, I am very excited to invite you to a yoga and mindfulness retreat, which will be in southern Spain from 26 to 31 August 2019. Whether you have been to a yoga retreat or not, this could be your time to relax and enjoy the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. The retreat is your opportunity to pause, step away from the stresses of daily life, release physical tensions and feel replenished.


We will be spending 5 days in the most beautiful and peaceful place in southern Spain, overlooking the sea and perfect for a yoga retreat. Next August, my friend and mindfulness teacher Monika and I will be taking a group of 10 to 15 students for five days to this fabulous location. Each day will include two hours of yoga in the morning, and one and a half hours of mindfulness in the evening. The aim will be to find more ease and freedom in the body, and to feel deeply rested.

Apart from practising yoga and mindfulness, there will be plenty of time to swim in the pool or the sea, relax in the garden, walk in the surrounding hills or enjoy a massage. The meals provided are healthy, home-cooked and locally sourced, with a vegetarian option. If you rent a car, there are several lovely medieval villages nearby as well as the Salvador Dali museums.


I will send out final invitations in January, at which time I will make the bookings and take deposits.

The yoga style will be gentle and encouraging, aimed to make you feel more confident and more at ease in your body.


Mindfulness by Monika, who apart from being a mindfulness and life coach also gives superb massages, facial massages and Reiki.



Villa Pi Blau overlooks the picturesque bay of Aiguablava, about 1.5km from the historic town of Begur. It is an hour and 40 minutes drive north of Barcelona in one of the prettiest parts of the Costa Brava.

Airport transfer can be organised if you prefer not to hire a car.



Villa Pi Blau was built specifically for yoga retreats, stunning, simple and luxurious. Surrounded by pine trees and gardens, with a path that leads down to a small beach, it is the ideal environment to relax and find balance.


I fell in love with the combination of the sea, the smell of pine trees and the peaceful surroundings.


Dates: 26-31 August 2019

Arrival before lunch on Monday 26 August. Yoga and mindfulness in the evening.

Yoga and mindfulness for four full days.

Departure after breakfast and yoga/mindfulness on Saturday 31 August.



Including full board and lodging, five days of yoga tuition (two hours per day), and mindfulness (one and a half hour a day).

£1035 for a single room.

£925 for shared accommodation in a double or triple room.

The rooms at Villa Pi Blau are minimalist and beautiful, designed to a high environmental standard. Each room has its own private bathroom.


Not included are the return flights to Barcelona, car rental/transfers and travel insurance.

Optional extras:

Massage, Reiki or facial massage.

Private yoga therapy sessions for specific health concerns.
